Appointment Information

Our clerical staff will be more than happy to make an appointment either in person or via telephone. Please allow enough lead time when you call to schedule your appointment so that we may offer you a date and time that suits your needs.

The person assisting with scheduling your appointment will ask you several questions including your name and address, primary care physician, medical condition and health insurance in order to complete your appointment. Please have your insurance information available to expedite the process.

In some circumstances, particularly with surgery patients, our scheduler will contact you regarding your appointment. Typically, we are coordinating hospital or surgery center schedules as well as both patient and physician availability. This may result in a delay in returning your phone call. We appreciate your understanding.

Insurance benefits for all patients are verified prior to office visits so that we can be aware of the services covered by your insurance.

Inclement Weather

A decision to close the office is taken very seriously after careful consideration for the safety of our patients and our staff.

We do not follow the local school closings. In the event the office is closed due to bad weather, you will receive a telephone call from one of our staff. If you are unsure of the status of your appointment and have not heard from us, please feel free to contact the office at 410-772-7000. If the office is in fact closed, the answering service will pass along that information to you.

Weigh the necessity of your visit against the risk of the trip. Your well-being comes first, and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date. If you do plan to venture out, please use extreme caution, especially in the parking lots and sidewalks. If we are open, and you don't call, we can only assume you are planning to keep your appointment.


Central Maryland Urology Associates and the Columbia Urological Surgery Center are closed for the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day and following day
  • Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Quality Assurance

We strive every day to provide the best possible urology care for all of our patients and meeting the needs of other healthcare providers. Sometimes processes in our offices may not meet your expectations. If that is the case, we want to hear from you. Please call 410.772.7000. The practice administrator will assist you with any of your concerns.

Be sure to arrive with a full bladder 15-20 minutes in advance of your visit. Patients arriving more than 10 minutes late to an appointment may be rescheduled.

There is a $50 charge for missed appointments or visits canceled less then 24 hours in advance.
